PATS SEND SCHACHER TO BLADES
Saskatoon, SK — General Manager and Head Coach Bob Woods announced today that the Saskatoon Blades have acquired 19-year-old defenceman Isaac Schacher from the Regina Pats in exchange for an eighth round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.
Schacher, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound product of Kimberley, BC, split time with the Pats and Victoria Royals last season, recording a combined nine points (1G, 8A), 48 penalty minutes and a plus-22 rating in 60 regular-season contests.
In three pre-season games (Aug. 28 vs. Moose Jaw, Sept. 5 at Brandon and Sept. 12 at Prince Albert), the ’95-born, right-handed shooting rearguard registered a combined plus-3 rating and four penalty minutes.
With Schacher in the fold, the Blades now have 10 defencemen and 28 players total on the roster.

Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats Hockey Club announced today the team has acquired an 8th Round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for defenceman Isaac Schacher (’95).
The Pats traded for Schacher just prior to the 2014 WHL Trade Deadline last season from the Victoria Royals. The 6’5”, 215 lbs. defender picked up two assists in 25 games patrolling the blue line for the Blue and White down the stretch and into the playoffs. 2013-14 was Schacher’s first full season in the WHL in which he totaled nine points (1G, 8A) in 60 games split between the Pats and Royals.
The Regina Pats thank Isaac for his contributions to the club and community during his time with the team and wish him the best going forward.
The move brings the Pats roster to 28 players including those away at NHL Camps. The breakdown includes 2 goaltenders, 8 defencemen and 18 forwards.
The Pats play their first game of the 2014-15 WHL Regular Season Friday night in Brandon against the Wheat Kings. The Blue and White return home Saturday for the A&W Home Opener on September 20th.
