CANADA-WEST CONFERENCE REPORT – University of Calgary Dinos third-year forward Ryan Annesley has been named the Canada-West Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 4th.

rAnnesley, a Moose Jaw, SK native, netted five points on the weekend helping the Dinos split a two-game series versus the U.B.C. Thunderbirds.

rThe 23-year-old Social Sciences student scored the game-winning goal and added two assists on Friday, helping the Dinos to a 5-4 road win over the Thunderbirds. Annesley followed up with a goal and an assist in Saturday’s 4-2 defeat to the T-Birds.

rWith points in both weekend games, Annesley stretches his point streak to six games, having netted seven goals and 15 points in that span. His five-point weekend also sees him climb to second in the Canada-West scoring race.

rAnnesley spent four full seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Regina Pats, Kamloops Blazers, Calgary Hitmen and Moose Jaw Warriors.
