Brule Returning To Vancouver
The Vancouver Giants have been informed forward Gilbert Brule will be returned to the hockey club by the Columbus Blue Jackets.
r
rBrule has been recovering from a leg fracture suffered earlier this season while playing in the NHL. Brule will remain in Columbus for a few days to get back on the ice before returning to Vancouver. He is expected to practice with the Giants Monday January 16 and he likely could return to the Giants line-up as soon as January 20 when the Giants host the Kamloops Blazers.

rThe 19 year-old from North Vancouver, B.C. was the sixth overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft of the Blue Jackets. He played seven games with Columbus this season, but suffered two injuries over the past couple of months, one to his leg, the other to his sternum.
r
rBrule was the Giants Most Valuable Player in the 2004/05 season, scoring 39 goals and adding 48 assists in 70 games. He was a WHL First Team All-Star and was also named the WHL and CHL Scholastic Team of the Year.
