WHL Playoffs on Sportsnet 360: Hitmen Welcome Rebels for Game 3
CALGARY, AB – Travis Sanheim and the Calgary Hitmen welcome Adam Helewka and the Red Deer Rebels for Game 3 of their Round 1 match-up at the Scotiabank Saddledome, live on Sportsnet 360 at (4:00pm MT/3:00pm PT).
The Calgary Hitmen earned a split in their first two games against the Red Deer Rebels after collecting a 5-2 win on Saturday night in Red Deer. Hitmen defenceman and alternate captain Travis Sanheim was productive on both ends of the ice as he registered three points (1g-2a) to go along with a plus-3 rating.
Helewka and the Red Deer Rebels opened the series with a 3-1 win on home ice over the Hitmen in Game 1. Helewka netted two goals in the victory, including the game winner and buried his third of the post-season in Red Deer’s 5-2 loss on Saturday. Calgary is 2/9 on the power play thus far in the series while Red Deer has capitalized once in seven power play chances.
The Hitmen and Rebels clashed in seven head-to-head meetings in the 2015-16 regular season with Calgary earning four victories. Hitmen defenceman Jake Bean and Travis Sanheim each netted 10 points in the Club’s prior match-ups while Adam Helewka led all Rebels skaters with six goals in the season series.

^The Stampede Corral will be the home for the Calgary Hitmen in games four and six of this Eastern Conference Round 1 series. The Corral was also the host to the 1974 Memorial Cup when the Regina Pats became the first team in League history to win the national title. The MasterCard Memorial Cup returns to Alberta for the first time in 42 years this May in Red Deer.
