Q & A with Kirby Dach
After a full season played with Fort Saskatchewan Rangers Midget AAA, what did you accomplish on the ice this season?
I think my defensive side of the game has improved the most this season. I played under a great coach who taught me a lot on the ice and also taught me how to be a great person.
Which current NHL player do you feel you have a similar skill set and are trying to emulate?
I say I play a similar style to Jonathan Toews. He plays a complete 200-foot game and can take control of the game when he wants.
Can you describe your style of play on the ice?
I describe myself as a two-way play maker.
What are your thoughts heading up to the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft? Are you excited, nervous or anxious?
I’m just excited. It’s a great opportunity and hopefully it all goes well.
What is your favourite activity or hobby away from hockey?
Water sports. I like to waterski and wakeboard.
