Tigers to host Wheat Kings in first round of WHL Playoffs
The 2016-17 WHL Central Division Champion Medicine Hat Tigers will host the Brandon Wheat Kings to open the 2017 WHL Playoffs.
The Wheat Kings secured the first wild card seed in the WHL’s Eastern Conference with a 3-1 win at Moose Jaw Wednesday night.
As a result, the defending Ed Chynoweth Cup Champions will open the 2017 WHL Playoffs by taking on the high-flying Tigers, with Games 1 and 2 set for March 24 and 25, respectively, in Medicine Hat.
The series will shift east to Dauphin, Man., for Games 3 and 4 on March 28 and 29, respectively.
