Thunderbirds sign U.S. Priority Draft selection Ewen Willers
Kent, Wash. – The Seattle Thunderbirds have announced the signing of Ewen Willers to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Willers was drafted by the Thunderbirds 2nd overall in the WHL US Priority Draft.
“We are excited to welcome Ewen and family to the Thunderbirds,” said General Manager Bil La Forge. “We are excited about his combination of skills. He is an exciting player that will look great in our jersey going forward.”
Willers spent the 2023-24 Regular Season with Dallas Stars Elite 14U AAA. Playing 78 games, tallying 26 goals and 25 assists for a total of 51 points.
Willers marks the 5th prospect signing by the Thunderbirds in the 2024 draft cycle.
