Suspensions Announced
The Western Hockey League today announced two player suspensions.
Derek Boogaard of the Prince George Cougars has been suspended for four games for receiving a game misconduct for his actions versus the Calgary Hitmen on October 14th which included an inappropriate gesture to the referee.
The length of the suspension included the fact that Boogaard is a repeat offender having just returned from a seven game suspension to start the season.
Boogaard has served two games of his suspension and has two games remaining.
Wade Skolney of the Brandon Wheat Kings has been suspended for one game for receiving a major and game misconduct for checking from behind versus the Regina Pats on October 14th.
