Royals sign Norwegian forward Casper Evensen
The Victoria Royals have signed Norwegian forward Casper Evensen to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement, the Club announced Thursday.
Evensen, who turned 18 years of age August 21, was the ninth-overall selection by the Royals in the 2023 CHL Import Draft.
This past season, the 5-foot-7, 168-pound forward collected 22 points (7G-15A) from 23 games at the U20 level with Valerenga in Norway, while also making 27 appearances with professional clubs in the Norwegian first and second divisions.
Internationally, Evensen served as an alternate captain for Norway at the 2023 IIHF U18 World Championship, recording one assist in six games.
