Kastelic, Pratt, Yamamoto Named to USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game
Three WHL players will suit up for the fifth annual CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game on September 22 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA, USA Hockey announced today.
Part of the 42-man roster will include WHLers Mark Kastelic (Calgary Hitmen), Austin Pratt (Red Deer Rebels) and Kailer Yamamoto (Spokane Chiefs).
Yamamoto helped the U.S. Men’s National Under-18 Team capture the bronze medal at the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation Men’s Under-18 World Championship in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Kastelic and Pratt helped the U.S. Under-18 Select Team place second at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup in Breclav, Czech Republic, and Bratislava, Slovakia this past month.
The game assembles the top U.S. players who are eligible for the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Former NHL stars Mark Howe and John LeClair were announced as coaches for the upcoming event last week.
