Hitmen sign Czech forward Robin Svancara to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement
Calgary, Alta – The Calgary Hitmen announced today the signing of Czech Forward Robin Svancara to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The Hitmen used their first-round pick (17th overall) in the 2024 CHL Import Draft on the forward from Czechia. Svancara played with HC Ocelari Trinec for the past three seasons. The 18-year-old finished the 2023-24 season with Trinec U17 with 37 points (19 goals–18 assists) in 25 games played. Svancara was also a member of the Czechia U17 team where he won silver in the Under-17 Five Nations Tournament. The forward was recently named to Team Czechia and will represent his country next week at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Edmonton, Alta.
