Harding Named WHL Player of the Week
Calgary – The Western Hockey League Player of the Week is goaltender Josh Harding of the Regina Pats. Harding earned player of the week honours by recording a 1.33 goals against average, a 0.935 save percentage and a perfect 3-0 record for the Week.
On Tuesday, October 30th, Harding recorded 18 saves in a 4-2 win against the visiting Prince Albert Raiders. On Friday, November 2nd, Harding made 22 saves in a 4-1 victory against the isiting Moose Jaw Warriors.
On Saturday, November 3rd, Harding recorded 18 saves in a 2-1 win against the Warriors in Moose Jaw.
Harding, a 17-year-old rookie from Regina, Saskatchewan is eligible for the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
Honourable mention goes to Garth Murray of the Regina Pats and Cam Paddock of the Kelowna Rockets.
