Former Broncos netminder Poulter signs entry-level contract with New Jersey Devils
Former Swift Current Broncos goaltender Isaac Poulter has signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the NHL’s New Jersey Devils.
The Devils announced the signing Thursday morning.
Poulter, 22, hails from Winnipeg and spent four seasons with the Broncos from 2018 through 2022, appearing in 137 career WHL Regular Season contests, amassing a record of 35-87-8-4.
An undrafted free agent, Poulter originally signed a two-way AHL contract on June 22, 2022, splitting time between New Jersey’s AHL affiliate – the Utica Comets – and the ECHL affiliate Adirondack Thunder. Over the course of the 2023-24 campaign with AHL Utica, Poulter has earned a record of 14-5-1-3 with a 2.54 goals-against average and .913 save percentage.
Poulter’s career AHL record with Utica is 21-8-4-3.
Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 175 pounds, Poulter was originally selected by the Broncos in the sixth round (112th overall) of the 2016 WHL Draft.
