Blades Acquire Goaltender from Spokane
Saskatoon, SK: The Saskatoon Blades announced that they have acquired 17-year-old goaltender Ryan Senft from the Spokane Chiefs in exchange for a 5th round bantam draft pick in 2002.
Senft who spent last season with the Midget AAA Tisdale Tojans, played in 43 games picking up 2 shutouts and compiling a 2.73 GAA. Senft will join Calgary native Gerry Festa in competition for the back-up position to Michael Garnett. Senft will arrive in Saskatoon today to begin competing for the back-up position.
