Americans blueliner Dragicevic signs three-year, entry-level deal with Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken has signed Tri-City Americans alternate captain Lukas Dragicevic to a three-year, entry-level deal, the NHL team announced Thursday.
Dragicevic tallied 14 goals and 36 assists for 50 points in 66 games in 2023-24, sitting third among all Americans skaters in assists and fourth in points.
The 6-foot-2, 196-pound blueliner ranked 15th among WHL defencemen in scoring.
The Kraken selected Dragicevic in the second round, 57th overall, of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft after Dragicevic’s breakout year with Tri-City.
The Richmond, B.C. product erupted for 15 goals and 60 assists in 68 matches, becoming the highest-scoring defender for the Americans since the 1996-97 season.
Dragicevic also went on a franchise-record 27-game point streak from October 14 to December 30, 2022, that saw him add 37 points.
He was picked by Tri-City fourth overall in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft.
Dragicevic has 35 goals and 122 assists for 157 points in 202 career WHL games, all with Tri-City.
