Charlie Wright struck first and Egor Sidorov struck twice to get the raucous crowd on its feet at the SaskTel Centre, but Moose Jaw stormed back to take the lead, courtesy of a hardworking shot from the slot from Buffalo Sabres prospect Matthew Savoie. Anaheim Ducks prospect Sidorov netted his second of the evening to force the extra frame but Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Brayden Yager found the game-winner against his hometown team with a sneaky shot from the high slot.

PG leads 1-0
Prince George dished Portland its first loss of the 2024 WHL Playoffs with a dominant 5-0 win at the CN Centre. Cougars rookie sensation Joshua Ravensbergen made 33 stops for his third shutout of the postseason and Minnesota Wild prospect Riley Heidt tallied two assists to extend his point streak to nine games. With 18 points (three goals, 15 assists), Heidt is tied for second in playoff points.

TOP PERFORMER
Joshua Ravensbergen stayed undefeated with his third shutout of the postseason on Friday night.
The North Vancouver, B.C. product slammed the door with 33 saves in a 5-0 rout of the Portland Winterhawks.
The win marks Prince George’s first victory in the Conference Championship since 2007.
Ravensbergen’s 30-plus save night also ties him with Swift Current’s Reid Dyck for the most saves in a shutout victory during this year’s playoffs.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound netminder leads all starting WHL goaltenders with a 1.62 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage in the postseason.
