Alex Schoenborn Signs ELC with Sharks

Portland Winterhawks forward Alex Schoenborn has signed a standard, entry-level contract with the San Jose Sharks. Schoenborn was selected by the Sharks in the third round of the 2014 NHL Draft, 72nd overall.

Schoenborn has set career-highs across the board this season, with 27 goals and 27 assists for 54 points. He’s played 203 career games with the Winterhawks, with 61 goals and 64 assists for 125 points.

“It’s always an exciting time when a player is rewarded with his first NHL contract and we are very happy for Alex,” said Portland Winterhawks General Manager & Head Coach. “An area that Alex has really improved upon has been his consistent play each game. He continues to be one of the hardest workers on the ice and his focus on the little details of the game has earned him his contract with San Jose.”
