Calgary, AB – The Western Hockey League and NeuLion Inc. (TSX:NLN) today announced the extension of a new multi-year agreement to deliver live and on-demand video of WHL games to fans worldwide through the 2018-19 WHL Season on an enhanced WHL LIVE platform.
Powered by NeuLion, WHL LIVE provides coverage of all 22 teams in the WHL and will deliver all 792 games throughout the 2014-15 WHL Regular Season which opens this Friday, September 19, as well as coverage throughout the 2015 WHL Playoffs.
The WHL and NeuLion will continue to offer a wide range of package options to suit the needs of all WHL fans. New this season, WHL LIVE will offer viewers the opportunity to watch up to four WHL games at the same time with picture-in-picture and quad-view options along with the ability to choose between the home or away audio feed for all games. WHL LIVE will now offer an enhanced high definition video player for live and archived games. The new interface will continue to support the latest in adaptive streaming technology, including the ability to detect a viewer’s bandwidth and seamlessly adjust the picture quality to eliminate buffering or intermittent viewing. The upgraded service will continue to provide high quality video and allow fans to pause and rewind live games.
Fans can still take advantage of the live support chat option, accessible directly from the WHL LIVE site, which instantly connects viewers to a customer support team member to resolve any issues.
