HITMEN RALLY TO TOP REBELS – Brett Sonne scored three goals, including the game-winner, to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 7-5 victory over the visiting Red Deer Rebels in the lone Western Hockey League contest on Tuesday, March 13th.

rRyan White tallied twice and Fredrik Pettersson scored once and added two helpers for the Hitmen (39-24-3-4), who scored five times in the third period to erase a 4-2 deficit, while Keegan Dansereau also counted. Martin Jones made 20 saves to record his ninth win of the season. The Hitmen have already clinched third place in the Central Division, and will take on Kootenay in the opening round of the playoffs.

rMartin Hanzal – with two goals – Brennan Wray, Karey Pieper and Cullen Morin scored for the Rebels (34-27-4-5) while Morgan Clark made 23 stops in the defeat. The Rebels have already cemented themselves in fourth place in the Central Division, and will take on Medicine Hat in the opening round of the playoffs.
