WHL WEDNESDAY NIGHT RECAP – Brodie Dupont scored two goals to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 2-1 win over the visiting Red Deer Rebels in one of six Western Hockey League contests last night.

rJustin Pogge made 29 saves for the Hitmen while Jeff Schultz chipped in two assists. The win improves the Hitmen to 25-17-6-2 and moves them two points up on the Rebels for third in the Central division.

rTy Morris scored the lone goal for the Rebels, extending his point streak to nine games. The loss drops the Rebels to 24-17-4-4 and leaves them fourth in the Central division.

rElsewhere last night, Nathan Grochmal‘s goal with less than 30 second remaining in regulation earned the Kamloops Blazers a 3-3 tie with the visiting Vancouver Giants.

rShea Weber scored the winner and set up two others to lead the Kelowna Rockets to a 4-1 win over the visiting Everett Silvertips on Wednesday night.
