BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Director of Sales and Marketing
1) Develop sales strategy to successfully recruit and promote the hockey club to the business and corporate community.
2) Develop sales strategy for season tickets, group sales and mini packs.
3) Develop and coordinate game night activities for the sales staff.
4) Plan, implement and supervise all activities with promotions and special events.
5) Plan, implement and supervise all activities of sales personnel in order to achieve department sales goals.
6) Achieve personal sales goals and sponsorship levels.
Director of Public Relations/Broadcaster
1) Represent hockey club as broadcast play-by-play talent for all 72 regular season games and all playoff games on radio.
2) Coordinate with Marketing Director the set-up and production of the radio broadcast.
3) Prepare sales materials and sponsor packages to effectively sell the radio broadcast.
4) Function as a sales representative during the off-season (radio sales, season tickets, program advertising, dasher boards).
5) Research and compile team statistics.
6) Co-edit weekly press release for distribution to local and national media.
7) Coordinate community relations and all player appearances.
8) Edit and produce game program/insert.
9) Research and edit game press notes package for media during regular season and home playoffs.
10) Develop Club Media policies.
11) Look after any and all media during games.
12) Become contact for all media looking for credentials.
13) Coordinate post-game media activity around dressing room.
14) Look after visiting teams radio and television needs
15) Head up game night staff. Again, being sure we are doing it better than anyone else.
16) Post-game faxing.
17) Updating all team information and statistics when we are on extended trips.
18) Write press releases and subsequent mailing and deliveries.
19) Work with suburban papers.
20) Develop a monthly newsletter to go to media and season ticket holders, in addition to other subscribers.
21) Coordinate Community Involvement.
22) Sell in summer focusing on radio and season tickets.
23) Contribute to Team Media Guide and Yearbook.
24) Write player and team features for outside newspapers and publications.
25) Maintain photo files.
