WHL ANNOUNCES OFFICIALS EVALUATION CAMP

The Western Hockey League will be holding an Officials Evaluation Camp in Calgary, Alberta. The Camp is an opportunity for officials, both referees and linesmen, to display their on-ice abilities.

The WHL will use this camp as an opportunity to evaluate 3 groups of officials;

i) Non WHL referees and linesmen hoping to earn a WHL position

ii) WHL linesmen interested in pursuing the possibility of refereeing in the WHL

iii) Current WHL officials interested in additional evaluation and coaching

This evaluation camp will be held in conjunction with the Stampede Challenge Tournament, Saturday – June 29 to Tuesday – July 2, 2002. Games will be played in arenas in Calgary, Airdrie and Strathmore.
