Wade Klippenstein to Remain Raiders Head Coach
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – The Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to announce that Wade Klippenstein has agreed to a two-year contract to remain as Head Coach of the Western Hockey League team. Details of the agreement will not be released.
Klippenstein was promoted from Assistant to Interim Coach of the Raiders on November 3, 2001 and was named Head Coach November 21, 2001. Under Klippenstein the Raiders were 23-29-1-3 for a winning percentage of .446.
“The team, with Wade as Head Coach, showed a willingness to work hard, and definite signs of improvement through out the season”, commented Donn Clark, Director of Hockey Operations.
The Raiders also announce that Trainer Duane “Puff” Bartley has signed a contract to return for the 2002-2003 season. The 2001-2002 campaign was Bartley’s first with the Raiders.
Assistant Coach Drew Schoneck is currently playing in the West Coast Hockey League Playoffs for the Fresno Falcons, who have advanced to the third round.
