Vees sign import forward Naudins to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement
The Penticton Vees announced today the signing of Latvian forward Roberts Naudins to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement beginning with the 2026-27 season.
Naudins will join the Vees from Shattuck-St. Mary’s where he has 24 points (7G-17A) with the U18 prep team and another 16 points (6G-10A) in 12 games with Team Shattuck St.-Mary in the Upper Midwest High School Elite League this season.
“We are very excited Roberts has decided to sign and bring his talents to Penticton and the WHL,” said Fred Harbison, Head Coach and General Manager of the Vees. “The addition of a 6-foot-6 forward with his skating and skill in his draft year will be a great addition as we continue to build our program over the next few seasons.”
Naudins, born November 18, 2008, is eligible for the 2027 NHL Draft. He has represented Latvia at both the U18 and U20 levels, including competing at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship at the age of 16, where he registered one assist in five games.
The hulking forward was drafted by the Vees in the second round (98th overall) of the 2025 CHL Import Draft.
Naudins has been with Shattuck-St. Mary’s since the 2024-25 season.
