2025 WHL Graduates: Victoria Royals
Over the summer, the Western Hockey League will be celebrating the WHL Graduates from the 2024-25 season in a 22-part, team-by-team series.
Today, we continue with the graduating players from the Victoria Royals.
Brayden Boehm (F)
Hometown: Nanaimo, B.C.
WHL Career Stats: 215 GP – 50 G-70 A – 120 PTS
WHL Draft: 2019 – 2nd Round, 37th Overall (Medicine Hat)
The Victoria Royals won’t soon forget Brayden Boehm, and Brayden Boehm won’t soon forget the Victoria Royals. Despite spending less than one season with the B.C.-based Club, Boehm’s experience couldn’t have gone better. Acquired by the Royals following a trade with the Medicine Hat Tigers in October 2024, Boehm quickly became a force to be reckoned with. In 61 regular season games with Victoria, the forward collected 19 goals, 31 assists, and 50 points. This marked the first – and only – time in his WHL career where Boehm hit the 50-point plateau. Boehm’s instant connection with the Royals organization stemmed from his familiarity with the region, having grown up in Nanaimo, B.C. However, Boehm’s Western League career first began elsewhere. Originally drafted in the second round of the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft by the Medicine Hat Tigers, Boehm spent parts of five seasons in Southern Alberta. After collecting a pair of points (1 G-1 A) in League debut with the Tigers on February 27, 2021, Boehm became an almost instant hit in ‘The Hat.’ From 2021-24, Boehm made a total of 154 appearances with the Tigers organization. In that time, the slippery forward racked up 31 goals and 39 assists for 70 points. Having completed his WHL eligibility, the British Columbia announced his commitment to Michigan Tech University for the 2025-26 season.

Kenta Isogai (F)
Hometown: Nagano, Japan.
WHL Career Stats: 123 GP – 63 G-103 A – 166 PTS
CHL Import Draft: 2023 – 1st Round, 60th Overall (Wenatchee)
Kenta Isogai didn’t come to play in the Western League. He came to conquer.
After hearing his named called in the first round of the 2023 CHL Import Draft by the Wenatchee Wild, the product of Nagano, Japan entered the League with one goal in mind – pile up the points.
And, now, having finished his WHL career, we can confidently say that the speedy forward completed the task perfectly. In his first season with the Wild, the newcomer exceeded expectations by tossing up an outstanding 88 points (31 G-57 A) in 64 regular season appearances. Isogai continued his streak of dominance in the 2024 WHL Playoffs, posting eight points (4 G-4 A) in five games. And, the 2024-25 WHL Season would be no different. Isogai started his final season of WHL eligibility with Wenatchee, totalling 38 points (15 G-23 A) in 28 games. But, on January 1, 2025, Isogai was thrust into a change of scenery, as the veteran forward was acquired by the Victoria Royals in a blockbuster, WHL Trade Deadline deal. Despite the new club, Isogai’s offensive prowess never waivered as the forward ended the regular season by notching 40 points in 31 skates with the Royals. Isogai also helped the Victoria Royals capture the 2025 B.C. Division Champions banner and collected 17 points in 11 games during the 2025 WHL Playoffs. Isogai concluded his 20-year-old season by being named a finalist for the Brad Hornung Memorial Trophy, awarded to the WHL’s Most Sportsmanlike Player. Isogai is now set to continue his career in the American Hockey League, having signed a two-year, AHL contract with the Ontario Reign on August 6, 2025.

Brandon Lisowsky (F)
Hometown: Port Coquitlam, B.C.
WHL Career Stats: 288 GP – 161 G-138 A – 299 PTS
WHL Draft: 2019 – 1st Round, 9th Overall (Saskatoon)
Brandon Lisowsky’s journey to the Victoria Royals organization follows a similar tune as teammates and fellow graduates, Brayden Boehm and Kenta Isogai. Acquired by the Royals via trade with the Saskatoon Blades on January 2, 2025, the high-scoring forward joined the reigning B.C. Division Champions for a run in the 2025 WHL Playoffs. However, like his 20-year-old teammates, Lisowsky’s junior hockey career was mainly spent elsewhere. For the Port Coquitlam, B.C. local, the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Sask. was his home for parts of six seasons. The ninth-overall selection in the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft made his League debut with the Blades on March 6, 2020. And, after spending the first two seasons as an affiliate player for the East Division team, Lisowsky became a permanent fixture in the Blades’ forward core starting in the 2021-22 WHL Regular Season. The now 21-year-old boasts four consecutive seasons of reaching 50 or more points, with his best campaign to date coming during the 2023-24 season. In 68 games with Saskatoon, Lisowsky collected a career-high of 42 goals, eight game-winning tallies, 38 assists, and 80 points. The forward also served as an assistant captain for two seasons with the Blades. Lisowsky’s offensive production continued strong following his move to Victoria. In 32 regular season appearances with the Royals, the League veteran accrued 31 points (18 G-13 A). Lisowsky also captured eight points (6 G-2 A) in 11 appearances during the 2025 WHL Playoffs with Victoria. In total, the forward completed his major junior career just one point shy of the 300 mark, owning 299 points in 288 total games. He is currently committed to the NCAA’s Colorado College for the 2025-26 season.
