WHL to Host High Performance Officiating Exposure Camp
The Western Hockey League will be hosting a High Performance Officiating Exposure Camp from June 10- 12 to enhance the development and performance of the top officiating prospects in Western Canada and the United States.
This camp will be an opportunity for officials to showcase their skills and abilities to members of the WHL Officiating Supervisory staff. A total of 24 will be selected to participate in the camp and applications will be accepted until Monday, May. 9th.
This camp will be a significant opportunity for officials to demonstrate their abilities, and participants at this camp will be selected to attend the WHL Referee or Linesmen Training Camp in August and be given the opportunity to compete for a spot on the WHL Officiating Team. From last year’s camp 2 referees and 4 linesmen were selected to join the WHL Officiating Team for the 2015-16 season.
Officials with aspirations to be on the WHL Officiating staff should consider applying for this high performance officiating development opportunity.
