“WHERE ARE THEY NOW?” – LUCAS SOWDER
Success has followed Lucas Sowder like a shadow since high school, and it’s followed him to Minnesota State – Mankato where he’s preparing for his junior year.
The Trinity, FL native destroyed the record books at Mitchell High School in the Tampa area. In his three year career he played 52 games and amassed a staggering 225 points (119 goals, 106 assists) for an average of better than 4 points per game.
He spent three seasons in Wenatchee, where he served as an alternate captain in the 2017-18 season, and Team Captain in 2018-19. He won the team MVP in 2018-19, following a BCHL Fred Page Cup and CJHL Doyle Cup season in 2017-18 while averaging just shy of a point per game over a 132 game junior career.
As a freshman at MSU-Mankato, he helped his team to a WCHA Regular Season Championship while earning Rookie of the Year honors. As a sophomore, the Mavericks repeated as WCHA Regular Season Champions.
