Winnipeg ICE goaltender Daniel Hauser made 29 saves and was perfect on three attempts in the shootout backstopping his team to a 3-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors Saturday night at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
Owen Pederson’s 18th and Zach Benson’s team leading 25th were the Winnipeg goals during regulation time. Matthew Savoie scored the lone goal in the skills competition, improving their record to 32-5-1.
Benson’s goal extended his point streak to a Winnipeg high 13 consecutive games (11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points).
Atley Calvert and Martin Rysavy scored for Moose Jaw during the third period to erase a 2-0 deficit.
Goaltender Connor Ungar made 24 of 26 saves, then stopped two of three in the shootout to earn the Warriors a single point.
The two teams play again Sunday afternoon, 5:00 at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
