Draft Party, Alumni Social at Sporty’s!
EVERETT – The Everett Silvertips today announced a pair of upcoming events at Sporty’s Beef & Brew: our 2013 NHL Draft watch party on Sunday and an Alumni Social as part of Silvertips Alumni Weekend on Friday, July 12! All Silvertips fans are invited to bring the family and join us for food, fun and great specials with our friends at Sporty’s!
The Silvertips’ NHL Draft watch party is coming up this Sunday, June 30. Live TV coverage of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft from Newark, New Jersey starts at noon, with defenseman Mirco Mueller expected to become the next first-round NHL draft pick produced by the ‘Tips. After joining the Silvertips from his native Switzerland last season, Mueller is being projected by most to be selected somewhere in the middle of the first round of this year’s draft.
In Mirco’s honor, Sporty’s has created the “Mueller Burger” especially for Sunday’s draft party! This special burger features two ¼ pound beef patties with bacon ground in, four slices of Swiss cheese, lettuce/tomato/onion/pickle and fries for $9.95. You’ll also have the chance to win great Silvertips prizes and giveaway items as you enjoy watching the draft with your fellow Silvertips fans at Sporty’s! We hope to see you Sunday at noon!
We’re also happy to announce our 2013 Alumni Fan Social at Sporty’s, which will take place as part of Silvertips Alumni Weekend on Friday, July 12 from 6 to 10 pm. The event is free and gives all Silvertips fans the chance to catch up with some of your favorite former Silvertips players from years past! You’ll be able to get autographs and photos while chatting with Peter Mueller, Kyle Beach, Shane Harper, Zack Dailey and around 20 other Silvertips alumni! Sporty’s will be offering food and drink specials as well as we kick-off Silvertips Alumni Weekend with this fun Friday evening, which precedes our Alumni Golf Tournament on Saturday, July 13 at Kayak Point Golf Course.
