KENNEWICK, Wash. — The Everett Silvertips picked up win #44 on the season with a 2-1 victory over the Tri-City Americans at the Toyota Center on Saturday night.
Ben Hemmerling opened the scoring just 1:18 into play, stripping Connor Bouchard of the puck in the neutral zone and deking out netminder Tomas Suchanek on a breakaway for his 10th goal of the season.

Bouchard would get his revenge later in the first, tapping in a powerplay goal at 18:19 to even the score at one.
With the Silvertips on the powerplay for a double-minor high sticking infraction, Jackson Berezowski banged in a rebound for his team-leading 45th goal of the season, giving the Tips all the advantage they would need in a 2-1 victory.
Braden Holt earned First Star honors, stopping 25 of 26 in his 23rd win of the campaign.
Everett’s magic number to clinch the U.S. Division dwindles to three with the victory. The magic number to clinch the top seed in the Western Conference falls to six.
The Silvertips visit the Spokane Chiefs Wednesday night before returning home for their final regular season home game against the Americans. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available by clicking HERE.
