Victoria kicks off Kids Month against Tri-City in Sunday matinee game!

Victoria, B.C. – The Victoria Royals will host the Tri-City Americans at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre this Sunday as the club kicks off its Kids Month promotion in conjunction with Island Savings. Puck drop is scheduled for a 1:05 p.m. afternoon start.
Sunday afternoon marks the beginning of Kids Month sponsored by Island Savings! Fans that purchase a full-priced adult, senior, or student ticket in the Royals’ Family Zone will also receive a free child’s ticket to the game! Child’s tickets are valid for all Royals fans ages 12 and under. This offer is valid for all Royals’ home games throughout the month of October! To take advantage of this offer please visit the Select Your Tickets box office.
Following the game, fans and families are encouraged to bring their skates and participate in a Skate with the Players! Those wishing to skate with Royals’ players can sign up as soon doors open at Gate 3 and throughout the game to avoid lineups. Rentals will be available by cash donation to The Mustard Seed.
Prior to puck drop, the Reynolds Secondary Choir will be on hand to sing the national anthems! The first intermission will see Tim Bits Minor Hockey presented by 100.3 The Q! feature players from Victoria Racquet Club Minor Hockey! The second intermission will feature the Sun-Rype Shopping Cart Race where one lucky fan will win a $100 Save-On-Foods gift card!
During the game, fans will be able to purchase tickets for the End of the Roll 50/50 draw and foam pucks for the Old House Village Chuck-A-Puck. The prize for the evening’s Chuck-A-Puck will be a one-night stay and spa treatment for two courtesy of Old House Village. Proceeds from the evening’s End of the Roll 50/50 will support Reynolds Secondary Cops for Cancer campaign.
While at the game, kids can also enter the Royals’ Trick-or-Treat Contest! Ballots for this contest will be available at the Select Your Tickets box office as well as Island Savings branches in Greater Victoria or by online submission at www.victoriaroyals.com/kidsmonth. The grand prize winner will be selected on October 26th and will be announced at the home game versus the Kelowna Rockets that night. The lucky winner will win a once-in-a-lifetime chance to trick-or-treat on October 31st with a member of the 2013-14 Royals, Marty the Marmot and their four closest friends!
Before leaving Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, be sure to pick up your free Fruit Source bar courtesy of Sun-Rype! Staff members will be handing out complimentary Fruit Source bars upon exit!
