Victoria Jr. Royals Hockey Development Announces Expanded 2026-27 Season Programming
VICTORIA, B.C. – The Victoria Jr. Royals Hockey Development Program is excited to announce its full lineup of 2026-27 season hockey programming designed to support player development and provide young athletes with opportunities to learn, compete, and enjoy the game.
As the official grassroots development branch of the Western Hockey League’s Victoria Royals, the Jr. Royals are committed to growing the game and supporting players and families throughout the Vancouver Island hockey community.
Following a successful 2025-26 season that exceeded demand across Jr. Royals hockey development initiatives, the organization is looking to build on the momentum by expanding opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills in a positive and engaging environment.
“It is exciting to see the Jr. Royals development program continue to grow,” said Brad Leeb, Manager, Hockey Development, Victoria Royals. “We are proud to offer a variety of experiences for multiple age groups throughout the season and during the off-season. Our goal is to create positive hockey experiences that help players develop their skills while continuing to build their passion for the game.”
The Jr. Royals Hockey Development programs are designed to provide players of all levels and ages with quality instruction, meaningful competition, and opportunities to develop skills and build confidence. The full list of programs can be found below.

2026-27 Season Programs
2027 Jr. Royals Spring Hockey Teams – Spring, 2027
The Jr. Royals Spring Hockey Program will return to the ice in March of 2027 for all players born in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. The experience will combine team practices, off-ice workouts, skills sessions, and participation in competitive spring hockey tournaments.
Breakfast Club Skates – October / November 2026
Small-group morning skill sessions at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre focused on shooting, skill development, and maximizing repetitions.

*January – March skates and age groups will be announced by December 1st.
Winter Festival – December 21 & 22, 2026 (*New this season)
A one-day, multi-game tournament featuring competitive hockey and fun off-ice activities. Teams will be competing for the opportunity to be crowned Holiday Festival Champions!

Spring Break Camp – March 15-19 & March 22-26, 2027 (*New this season)
A full-day, week-long hockey camp designed to make Spring Break a memorable week on the ice.

Victoria Spring Hockey League (VSHL) – March / April 2027 (*New this season)
Competitive Spring hockey at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, featuring full-ice 4-on-4 gameplay and an exciting game-day atmosphere.

- U11: 2017/2018 – registering for the 2027/28 season
