Rockets Fall in Heartbreaker in Mem Cup Final
The Kelowna Rockets season came to a heartbreaking end on Sunday in Quebec City as the team lost the final of the 2015 MasterCard Memorial Cup 2-1 in overtime to the Oshawa Generals.
The Generals scored early in overtime, scoring the last two goals of the game after the Rockets had scored the first goal of the game.

Tomas Soustal had the Rockets lone marker, scoring his first of the tournament in the first period. The Generals tied the game in the second period before a scoreless third sent the game to overtime.
Kelowna outshot the Generals 38-26 and outplayed the Ontario Hockey League champions in early in the second period but couldn’t score to extend their lead.

The Rockets return home on Monday and will arrive at the Kelowna Airport at 1 p.m. The team charter will land at gate 13 on Airport Road.
