DRAFT PROFILE: Hayden Paupanekis
Kelowna, B.C. – With the 2025 NHL Entry Draft fast approaching, forward Hayden Paupanekis is among some of the Kelowna Rockets players expected to hear their name called.
A towering, right-shot forward from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Paupanekis stands at 6-foot-5 and 203 pounds and brings a rare blend of size, strength, and offensive upside to the ice. His combination of physical presence and scoring touch has garnered attention across the scouting world, earning him a place on nearly every major draft list this season.
Paupanekis started the season with the Spokane Chiefs and was acquired by the Rockets midway through the 2024–25 campaign as part of the blockbuster trade that sent Andrew Cristall to Spokane.
