Rebels Take A Pair Of Defencemen In The CHL Import Draft
RED DEER, AB – Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced the selections of defenceman Eduards Jansons in the first round, 27th overall, and defenceman Mario Grman (pictured) in the second round, 87th overall, in today’s Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.
Jansons is 1997 born and from Latvia, Grman is also 1997 born and is from Slovakia.
Each team in the Canadian Hockey League (Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) is allowed two import (non-North American) players.
