Raiders Hand Rebels A 4-2 Loss
PRINCE ALBERT, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders doubled up the Rebels 4-2 Saturday. The Rebels had a 1-0 lead after one period of play after an Adam Musil goal on the power play. Brett Cote had an assist on the goal to register his 100th career point.
There was no scoring in the second period, so the Rebels still had a 1-0 lead after 40 minutes.
The Raiders scored on a 5 on 3 power play early in the third period, on a goal by Craig Leverton. They would add two more goals, Jayden Hart and Matteo Gennaro, to open up a 3-1 lead. Haydn Fleury scored to get the Rebels to within one goal, but the Raiders added one more by Reid Gardiner.
The final shots were 36-26 for the Raiders; Rylan Toth made 32 saves in the Rebels net. Nick McBride made 24 saves in the Raiders goal.
The Rebels were 2 for 4 on the power play and killed 7 of 8 shorthanded situations.
