2023-24 GAME SUMMARIES
SAT. FEB. 10 – The Medicine Hat Tigers scored three times in the third period before stunning the Rebels 5-4 in overtime at Co-op Place in Medicine Hat. Jhett Larson, Kalan Lind, Frantisek Formanek and Carson Birnie scored for Red Deer. Kai Uchacz had three assists. Chase Wutzke made 39 saves on the night. Red Deer was 2-for-2 on the power play while Medicine Hat was 1-for-5.
FRI. JAN 19 – The Rebels grounded the high-flying Medicine Hat Tigers for a 3-1 road win at Co-op Place. Kalan Lind had a power play goal and an assist. Ollie Josephson and Kai Uchacz (empty net) also scored while Chase Wutzke made 30 saves for the win. Medicine Hat outshot Red Deer 31-24 on the night and both teams were 1-for-5 on the power play.
FRI. JAN. 5 – Jhett Larson netted his second career hat trick to lead the Rebels to a 5-3 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Carson Birnie scored twice for the Rebels. Talon Brigley had two assists while Ollie Josephson had one to run his point streak to five games. Rhett Stoesser earned his 10th win of the season. Red Deer outshot Medicine Hat 34-24 and was 1-for-1 on the power play while the Tigers were 1-for-3.
TUE. JAN. 2 – Medicine Hat scored with seven seconds left in overtime for a 3-2 win over the Rebels at Co-op Place. Matthew Gard and Hunter Mayo (power play) scored for Red Deer. Ollie Josephson had an assist to run his point streak to four games. Chase Wutzke was credited with 27 saves. Red Deer was 1-for-3 on the power play while Medicine Hat was 2-for-3.
WED. DEC. 27 – The Rebels looked good in their first game back from the Christmas break, outshooting and out-chancing the division leading Medicine Hat Tigers but coming out on the short end of a 4-2 decision in front of 6,023 fans at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Mats Lindgren scored a second period power play goal for the Rebels while rookie Jeramiah Roberts scored a highlight reel tally for his first WHL goal in period three. Ollie Josephson had two assists. Red Deer outshot Medicine Hat 34-19 and was 1-for-6 on the power play while the Tigers were 1-for-2.
FRI. SEPT 29 – The Rebels opened the scoring early, but the Medicine Hat Tigers would respond and skate to a 4-2 win at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Hunter Mayo and Mats Lindgren (power play) scored in their returns to the Rebels lineup. Red Deer outshot Medicine Hat 39-33 and was 1-for-5 on the power play while the Tigers were 1-for-3.
