Former Rebels captain Kai Uchacz recalled by Vegas Golden Knights
Another Red Deer Rebels alumnus is set to make his NHL debut.
The Vegas Golden Knights announced Tuesday they have recalled centre Kai Uchacz from their AHL affiliate, the Henderson Silver Knights.
Uchacz appeared in 188 games with the Rebels from 2021-24. He scored 106 goals with the club, 4th most in Rebels history, including 50 during the 2022-23 season. He was a two-time winner of the club’s most valuable player, top scorer, and humanitarian of the year awards and was rookie of the year in 2021-22.
Since turning pro after signing an entry-level NHL contract in 2024, Uchacz has played 107 games with the Silver Knights, collecting 50 points.
Uchacz is expected to be in the Vegas Golden Knights lineup when they host the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday.
