The U.S. Priority Draft is a two-round draft that began in 2020. Players eligible for the WHL U.S. Priority Draft are players who completed their second year of bantam hockey and reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washingotn, and Wyoming.
Players not selected in the WHL U.S. Priority Draft remain eligible for the WHL Prospects Draft, or can be listed by any WHL club at any time thereafter.
