Three Raiders Listed In NHL Central Scouting Rankings
Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders were well represented on NHL Central Scouting’s final draft rankings for the upcoming 2017 NHL Draft, which were released on Tuesday morning.
Goaltender Ian Scott was ranked third amongst North American puck stoppers. Although he was ranked second in the mid-season rankings, he is still the highest ranked goalie in the CHL. Scott, who hails from Calgary, finished the year with a 12-31-3-0 record and a 3.69 goals-against average. He is currently representing Canada at the 2017 IIHF U18 World Hockey Championship in Slovakia.
Parker Kelly made his first appearance on NHL Central Scouting’s lists this season, ranking 192nd amongst North American skaters. The Camrose, AB product finished the year with 21 goals and 22 assists in 72 games played. Most of his points came in the second half of the season as the 17-year-old had 29 points in 30 games following the WHL Trade Deadline.
The third and final Raider on the list was defenceman Zack Hayes, who was ranked 202nd amongst North American skaters. The Calgary product had two goals and 10 assists to go along with 82 penalty minutes in 72 games, joining Kelly as the only Raiders to play in all of the team’s games this season.
The 2017 NHL Draft will be held on June 23 and 24 at the United Center in Chicago, IL.
