Rudolph named WHL Rookie of the Month
The Western Hockey League announced on Tuesday that Prince Albert Raiders defenceman Daxon Rudolph has been named Rookie of the Month for the month of January.
The 16-year-old was dominant in January, picking up 15 points (2G-13A) in 13 games played. He went on a 12 game point streak from January 1-26, and had a point in every game of the month except one.
From Lacombe, AB, Rudolph was the first overall pick by the Raiders in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft. In 42 games this season, he leads all Raider rookies in scoring with 26 points (4G-22A). His +10 rating is fourth best on the team, and his 83 shots on goal also lead all rookies.
The Raiders travel to Alberta this week for a three game road swing that kicks off on Wednesday night in Calgary.
