Raiders announce 2025-26 home opener date
The Prince Albert Raiders will open their 2025-26 home schedule with their home opener on Friday, September 19th against the Saskatoon Blades. This marks the first time since 2022-23 that Prince Albert’s first home game will be against their highway 11 rivals.
The Raiders went 5-3-0-0 in eight regular season meetings against the Blades in 2024-25. Back to back wins on the final weekend of the season over Saskatoon clinched the East Division banner. A 3-2 overtime win at SaskTel Centre on March 21st set the stage for a winner takes all matchup in the final game of the season on March 22nd at the Art Hauser Centre. A late goal by Lukas Dragicevic lifted the Raiders to a 4-3 win, securing first place in the division, and home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. With that, they took down the Edmonton Oil Kings in seven games.
Brayden Dube led the season series in points between the two teams in 2024-25, registering 12 points (5-7) in eight games. Right behind him was Aiden Oiring who had 11 points (5-6), and Tomas Mrsic with 10 (3-7).
The rivalry will continue onto Saturday, September 20, as the Raiders will head to Saskatoon for the Blades’ home opener at SaskTel Centre.
