Leavitt Machinery Preview – Game 52 at Regina
RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (21-20-8-2) hit the road tonight to take on the Regina Pats (26-22-5-0) at the Brandt Centre. Last night, the Raiders picked up a crucial 5-2 win over the Saskatoon Blades at the Art Hauser Centre. Parker Kelly got the scoring started with two first-period goals. After Logan Christensen brought the Blades back within one, Brett Leason and Curtis Miske scored goals midway through the second period to put P.A. up 4-1. Eric Florchuk cut into the Raiders’ lead again, but Cole Fonstad buried a power-play goal late in the middle frame to put the game away. Ian Scott earned his 15th win of the season by making 19 saves.
VS. REGINA: This is the sixth of eight contests between the Raiders and the Pats. The Raiders have dropped all five previous games to the Pats, although four have been one-goal games and two were decided in overtime.

STREAK SNAPPED: Vojtech Budik had his seven-game point streak snapped on Friday night after failing to find the score sheet against the Blades. Over the course of his streak, the Buffalo Sabres draft pick had four goals and seven assists to bring his season total to eight goals and 18 assists in 44 games.
PARKER’S NEW HIGH: Winger Parker Kelly set a new career high in goals on Friday night when he potted a pair against the Blades. Kelly now has 23 goals on the season, surpassing his previous high of 21 set last season. The Ottawa Senators signed prospect also has 18 assists on the year, bringing his season point total to 41 in 50 games.
