Game Preview: Game 58 vs Red Deer
SETTING IT UP:
Prince Albert and Red Deer get set to square off for the final time in the regular season tonight at the Art Hauser Centre. The Raiders picked up a big 5-2 win on Saturday night over the Red Deer Rebels, maintaining their grip on the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. The green and gold sit one point in front of the eighth place Lethbridge Hurricanes, who are off until Friday when they visit Saskatoon. They are also four points ahead of the ninth place Calgary Hitmen, who are in Edmonton taking on the Oil Kings tonight.
STANICK MAGIC:
It was an exceptional game for Raiders’ overage forward Sloan Stanick, who scored a hat trick in Saturday’s win. All three of his goals game on powerplays, as he scored his 25th, 26th, and 27th goals of the season. Stanick leads the team in scoring with 73 points (27G-46A) in 57 games this season. Seven of his goals this season have come on the powerplay.
100 FOR PEARDON:
It’s a milestone night for sophomore forward Cole Peardon, who gets set to play in his 100th WHL game tonight. In 99 games, all with the Raiders, Peardon has nine goals and 14 assists for 24 points in his WHL career.

UP NEXT:
Prince Albert plays two games this weekend, one on the road and one at home. On Friday night the club heads to Brandon for another matchup with the Wheat Kings. It’s the third time in four games that Prince Albert takes on their Manitoba rival. On Saturday, the green and gold return home for their final meeting of the season with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, where they will begin a three game homestand which will also see the Oil Kings and Tigers make the trip to PA.
