RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (3-51-1) take on the Winnipeg ICE (6-4-0-0) for the second time in the Subway Hub Centre this afternoon. In their last outing, the Raiders lost a 7-1 game to the Brandon Wheat Kings on Tuesday evening. Matthew Culling scored the lone Raiders goal in the loss. Carter Serhyenko, who made his fourth consecutive start, stopped 28 between the pipes for the Raiders.

INTERNATIONAL DUTY: Defenceman Nolan Allan was named to Canada’s National Men’s team for the 2021 IIHF U18 World Championship, which will begin on April 26 in Frisco and Plano, Texas. Allan previously represented his country at the 2019 World U17 Hockey Challenge as a member of Canada Red. The Davidson product has an assist in 10 games played in the Subway Hub Centre this season.
STREAK SNAPPED: Matthew Culling’s goal in the third period of Tuesday’s game against the Wheat Kings snapped an eight-game goalless drought. His last goal came in the Raiders’ season-opening win over the Regina Pats. It was also the first power-play goal of Culling’s career.
NEW CAREER BEST: Remy Aquilon set a new career high for assists (6) and points (7) with his helper on Matthew Culling’s goal on Tuesday. The Kelowna, BC product needed just 10 games to set hew new benchmark. Aquilon has accumulated more than 75% of his career points since joining the Raiders prior to last season.
MAKING HIS DEBUT: After officially signing with the Raiders earlier in the day, 2004-born forward Dallyn Peekeekoot made his WHL debut in Tuesday’s game against the Brandon Wheat Kings. Peekeekoot, from Ahtahkakoop First Nation, was drafted by the Raiders in the 10th round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
ALUMNI REPORT: Former captain Zack Hayes signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.
