Raiders Select Terrell Goldsmith 15th Overall in 2020 WHL Bantam Draft
Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce the selection of 2005-born defenceman Terrell Goldsmith with the 15th overall pick of the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.
“It’s awesome. It’s super exciting,” said Goldsmith on being selected by the Raiders.
Goldsmith, a Fort St. James, BC product, played for Delta Hockey Academy Bantam Prep Green of the CSSBHL. In 23 games with Delta, the 6’3, 199-lb blueliner had four goals and 15 assists.
The soon-to-be 15-year-old said he likes to play physically and move the puck, trying to emulate NHLers such as Shea Weber and Darnell Nurse.
“The first time I saw Terrell shoot, my jaw dropped,” said WHL Manager of Player Development Zach Hodder on the WHL Bantam Draft livestream. “He’s a very physical defenceman. He’s a big guy. He plays a very tough style of hockey.”
