Raiders Hand Out 2018-19 Awards
Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders celebrated their 2018-19 regular season on Monday night at the Year-End Banquet Presented By Great Western in the Ches Leach Lounge.
Trevor Redden of 900 CKBI hosted the event as the Raiders handed out 12 awards on the evening and recognized the contributions of the three overage players on the roster.
Goaltender Ian Scott was named the Lake Country Co-op Most Valuable Player for the season. The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect set new single-season franchise records for goals-against average, save percentage, and shutouts.
Noah Gregor, Brett Leason, and Parker Kelly were given the Redhead Equipment Three Stars Awards. The recipients were chosen based on the stars given out at the end of all 68 games played this season. Gregor was given First Star, Leason was second, and Kelly was third.
Leason also received the Northern Lights Casino Leading Scorer Award. The 2019 NHL Draft prospect led the team with 36 goals and 53 assists in 55 games played. Leason also the received the Great Western Brewing Most Improved Player Award.
Sean Montgomery was voted by the players as the recipient of the Source For Sports Players Choice Award. The award is given to the player that best exemplifies what it means to be a Prince Albert Raider. Montgomery was also named the CTV Best Defensive Forward for the second consecutive season.
