RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (33-17-5-4) host the Moose Jaw Warriors (14-39-4-0) tonight at the Art Hauser Centre. Last night against the Blades, the Raiders shut the door en route to a 3-0 win. Justin Nachbaur had a goal and an assist in the win for the Raiders. Kaiden Guhle and Daniil Stepanov also scored. Max Paddock made 18 saves to pick up his fifth shutout of the year.

FEBRUARY RECAP: The final stretch to the WHL Playoffs begins in earnest tonight as the calendar flips to March. In February, the Raiders posted a 7-3-0-0 record. Aliaksei Protas led the Raiders in points during the month with six goals and seven assists, followed closely by Ozzy Wiesblatt with four goals and eight assists. Max Paddock started nine of the 10 games in the month, winning six of his appearances with a 1.57 goals-against average and a 0.936 save percentage.
SHOOTING GALLERY: The Raiders fired 27 shots on goal in the first period of Saturday’s win over the Blades, which is a new season high for shots on goal in a period. Their previous best was 21 shots in the first period of Nov. 30’s game in Swift Current. The Raiders were also one shot away from tying the team record for shots in a period set on March 14, 1990.
STRIKING FIRST: Kaiden Guhle opened the scoring on Saturday night with his power-play goal in the first period, which was his team-leading fifth first goal of the game. His five opening goals is also tops among defencemen in the WHL.
SHUTTING THE DOOR: Max Paddock recorded his third shutout since joining the Raiders and fifth overall on the season. He is now tied for second in the league for shutouts with Brandon’s Jiri Patera.
DOUBLING UP: The Raiders struck twice on the power play for the third time in four games. Over that stretch, the Raiders have six goals in 19 attempts on the man advantage.
