Teddy Bear Toss – December 8th
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes are gearing up for their annual Canadian Tire/Global TV Teddy Bear Toss night on Saturday, December 8th when the Hurricanes host the Kootenay Ice.
On December 8th, all fans are encouraged to bring in teddy bears and when the Canes score their first goal – let ‘em fly!!
Last year Hurricanes fans generously donated nearly 3,000 teddy bears that were donated to a number of area charities and organizations including the Chinook Regional Hospital Pediatric Ward, Interfaith Food Bank, Piikani Youth Centre, RCMP Victim Services Unit, the Salvation Army, Streets Alive, and 1st Choice Savings and Credit Union on behalf of Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree for Kids.
This year will mark the 17th annual Canadian Tire/Global TV Teddy Bear Toss in Lethbridge. Former Hurricanes Sales and Promotions Manager and current Prince Albert Raiders Director of Marketing/Media Bruce Vance began the Teddy Bear Toss in Lethbridge in the 1996-97 season. It was the first of its kind for an Eastern Conference WHL team.
If you purchase a bear for $9.99 or more at either Canadian Tire location you’ll receive a ticket to the Teddy Bear Toss game on December 8th.
