Lethbridge blanks Red Deer 3-0
Michael Tadjdeh notches first WHL shutout to end Canes losing streak
rRed Deer, AB – After a tough loss on Friday night to Calgary the Canes bounced back Saturday night with a 3-0 shut out win over the Red Deer Rebels in Red Deer. Hurricanes Captain Ben Wright notched what would be the game winner with five seconds remaining in the first period for his third of the season. Zach Boychuk and Austin Fyten notched the other Canes Markers but it was Michael Tadjdeh who carried the Canes to victory on the strength of a 38 save shut out. For Boychuk, the goal extended his point scoring streak to three games since returning from injury. The win gives the Canes a 26-23-3-2 record as they prepare for a four game road trip this week through the U.S. Division. The road trip will see the Canes play four games in five nights including a Friday night matchup in Seattle live on Shaw TV and a Saturday night showdown with the Everett Silvertips which will see the return of Kyle Beach to Comcast Arena in Everett.
